Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, instead of having a big dinner for 20+ people, we spent the weekend at a house in Truckee, CA!
The girls were very pumped to see the snow (and we hoped to show them some ;-)
HERE's where we stayed- one of MJ's MBA buddies (Martin) has a house up there and he let us use it.
It was a really nice place and very well equipped- perfect for our crew!
Unfortunately there wasn't any snow on the ground to speak of.
It did snow a bit the night we arrived.
MJ and George didn't get up quick enough the next day; and we got this note:
Not really enough for a proper snowman, but enough to get cold and wet ;-)
Two girls learning that snowballs are cold.
One day we took a ride down by Lake Tahoe. We found a little kids park there.
HERE's Taylor climbing the rock.
Jordan and Taylor on the shores of Lake Tahoe.
Another day we took the Gondola ride up to the top of Squaw.
HERE's Taylor, Jordan and MJ en route.
The view out the back window is impressive!
George with the girls up at the top of Squaw- 9300'.
There was a little more snow up there- enough to make a mini-snowman and snow angels.
A day outside can tucker you out.
Another day we went skating at Northstar.
HERE's MJ helping Jordan around the rink.
Two skating girls ;-)
But the best part of skating was the rink-side gas-fired fire pits and comfy chairs- you could get off the ice and relax with a beverage and warm up all at once!
(and Starbucks was only 50' away!)
All in all, a terrific time was had by all.
Let's hope for more snow the next time we come!
